Circle Powder Room

The homeowners said they’d like something more sophisticated in this powder room, but didn’t really feel there was much we could do with it. They wanted a unique, artful room with interesting, possibly handmade, materials. We all thought the existing rug was interesting and worth keeping, and I wondered aloud if it could provide inspiration for the renovation. We wanted to make it a “wow” without breaking the bank, so controlled costs by minimizing mechanical and lighting location changes. Red metallic wallpaper and hand-scraped live edge wood add contrast and texture.
