Sixty Acres Modern

Driven by a desire for a more functional kitchen with good appliances, the homeowners invited us to breathe new life into a home that was featured on the “Street of Dreams” when originally built in the 1980s.

We opened up walls and walkways, eliminated trim and embellishments, scaled details and rooms, thought about walkways, natural light and relationships, and incorporated the new owners’ lifestyle and art collection into the home. The kitchen became an architectural focal point in the new great room design with a three-level island that’s both functional and beautiful. Task areas work hard with multiple purposes; materials and finishes mix-and-match for interest and utility. Our work involved renovating nearly the entire home, and was later featured in a tour of homes thus completing the showcase loop started years before.
